I grew up in rural Scotland and so was fortunate to be surrounded by an abundance of wildlife and beautiful scenery. My parents and grandparents spent a lot of time educating me in the beauty and creatures of the area but like most kids I took what was around me for granted. After my school years I left rural Scotland for the big city in search of education and work.
City life was great but I missed the freedom of the countryside and being able to look out the window at the Galloway Hills and to see all its wildlife………………
Now a father myself I have given up city life and these days live in the rugged countryside, which is a great place to bring up a child and for wildlife photography.
